Cheshire is mostly a rural county full of picturesque villages, the Peak District National Park, beautiful public parks & gardens and plenty of things to do and see.

Living in the area offers a variety of attractions that include Gulliver’s World, which has over 80 rides and attractions for those visiting family members and be sure to visit the popular Ice Cream Farm! The National Waterways Museum offers boat trips and some underwater adventures at Blue Planet Aquarium. There are regular farmers markets and much more all available when you have time on your hands.

The historic city of Chester is not far away with old style shopping galleries amongst the Roman walls. Did you know the race course is the oldest in England? Many pubs offer locally sourced produce and are great for a bite to eat and a relaxing drink.

Fun fact! In times past, a huge oak chest at St Oswald’s Church, Lower Peover, was used to keep parish records, the vicars’ robes and other important documents. If a girl wanted to marry a farmer, she must be able to lift the chest lid with one arm, to prove she had enough strength to lift any of the famous Cheshire cheeses made in the area!
