A village within a Village. We are in the heart of the village yet surrounded by the beautiful Cheshire countryside, backed by hills of the Peak District with meres, woodlands, ancient halls and churches. We work hard, together with the residents, to maintain our park to the highest possible standards towards making it one of the most prestigious and sought after parks in Cheshire.
Although Goostrey is in the middle of the countryside, it is situated in an area of contrasts. From ancient Saxon Crosses to the world famous Jodrell Bank, there are so many things to see and do. The road system provides easy access across the country and the North West motorway network brings the Lake District, Wales and Yorkshire within easy reach. There is a fast rail service seven days a week to Crewe and Manchester and for those who prefer a more leisurely pace, there are miles of canal to explore.
The village still boasts a post office, newsagent, mini markets, an off-licence, a hairdressers, a butcher and a DIY store. Two public houses offer good snacks and evening meals and hosting the usual pub games, such as darts and dominoes. For those of you who are more energetic there is a Tennis club, Bowling, Ramblers club and lots of various other activities to suit all interests.
St Lukes is an Anglican church and there is also a Methodist church. All these amenities are within walking distance of Mount Pleasant. Many beautiful country walks can be taken and both horse riding and fishing are available locally. Goostrey is close to many lovely Cheshire towns including Holmes Chapel, Knutsford and Middlewich as well as the market towns of Chelford, Sandbach, Congleton and Macclesfield.
